facial cleansers

So many things to do yet so little time! I haven't even had time to post during moi birthday and hubby's as well. Yup we have the same birth month. I am older by 8 days. We were hoping to have our baby born in October too teehehee. That way we'll save by having all of our major celebrations in just one month! Anyhow,
I bought the Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser and the Nivea Visage Cleansing Milk makeup remover. Okay first with the Neutrogena, I've been using Cetaphil for the longest time (ever since I was in high school) but since I've been putting tons of make-up on my face in the last couple of months I've also been having breakouts. Aaarghh! and so I tried using these 2 to see if they would work with my dry/oily skin. It has only been 4 days but I've noticed that my skin is more radiant than before. The smell also reminds me of babies -- one's who just came out from the shower...hmmm... The Nivea on the other hand also works as a cleanser but I opt to use it as a make-up remover. Partnered with my L'Oreal Lip and Eye make-up remover I think I've found my HG in these 2. Love love love love them!

to my baby...

I can't believe it's been a year since we got married. It seems like it was just yesterday. I still remember everything -- almost everyone being toxic as we count down the few hours of saying our I do's. You were busy arranging the photo gallery with your dad and some of your friends while I was being transformed into a beautiful bride by Jesy. I still vividly remembered ate Grace scolding Ana not to stress me out with the wedding cake. She told her that she'll handle every little glitch that might happen. Cristine was truly the "maid-of-honor"! She made everything possible in her own little way. The bridal bouquet was a disappointment for me coz it was not the exact replica of Claudine's flowers but a lot of people said the color scheme was fabulous. My bridal entourage having their own photo-op while I was out there looking for someone to tug my veil and train! The dark clouds that hovered in the uncovered garden area a few hours before the ceremony started with raindrops falling when I was about to have my bridal march and sing "Two Words". The happiness shared by everyone when we were finally pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Sanchez. The duet we had with the live band that we rehearsed 2 months in advance. The fireworks and the rrriiip... hahaha...Staying up until 2 am just to talk about the wedding, the people who helped, and the guests who are still texting that they have attended the most organized (coz it started really on time and everything was purrfect! thanks to our wedding planner ate Grace) and beautiful wedding they've seen in years. Even during our honeymoon guests are still texting us about our wedding! It was really an effort to pull up, that wedding was our first project as partners in life.
Thanks V for being a wonderful husband and best friend. You have taught me a lot of things and your patience just overwhelms me. I LOVE YOU!

Givenchy Mascara

Yipee! My latest eBay purchase has arrived! Actually this is the fastest shipment I've had. In 10 days the product has arrived. It's the Givenchy Pheonmen'Eyes Mascara.

"This unique mascara perfectly curls and separates with a spherical brush at the tip that coats every lash no matter what your eye shape. Perfect for short, sparse lashes that need extra precision and lash-boosting power." - www.sephora.com

I've found my HG mascara. This is the best one I've tried. It made my lashes really long it seems like I've been wearing false eyelashes. The applicator is a really weird round like brush. I'm not sure if I can use this with other mascara after I've finished my Givenchy one. At first it was sticky when you blink but after a few minutes you would hardly notice it. I was hesitant using this at first coz I've read negative reviews about it but when I tried it for myself 'twas perfectly ok for me. Only downside is that when you try to remove it black lines will stick in your undereyes but I remove it with the L'Oreal Lip and Eye makeup remover.

Another lemming: Plueys! I saw this at swipesomegloss' site and I want want want one! I'd be a good girl I promise. I only want one for my birthday next week puhlese!

JAM!

JAM - JESUS and Me! A Live Music Explosion that was held last Oct 12, 2008. It was a first in the Young Professionals of the Cathedral of Praise. Weeks of rehearsals paid off. The river room was filled with people working in call centers and offices. Pastora Pau led the people in worship together with Passion Team. It was a night filled with singing, dancing and life changing testimonies. Praise God for the people who accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior.

The night was also filled with surprises for Passion Team. Passion is composed of working people using their God given talents in the ministry. I've been with this team for 5 years now and we have been through a lot of changes. In 2005, we were joined by the "kids" - Vera, EG and Jayson. Our younger brother and sisters who are still attending school. Last night, after the crusade we were told that the team will be having auditions for 2 to 3 more slots and that the "kids" will no longer be with us but will be a part of another team. Lots of crying came after the meeting. We will surely miss them specially EG. She is the youngest in the group and also the "makulit" one. Overnights at Ate Joan's place is not fun without this girl coz of her bubbliness. Well she will surely miss us as well. To EG - "kami lang and nagmamahal sayo! LOL. Your Ates will always be here for you no matter what just remember that." Oh yeah and one more surprise. Pastor Manalo our long time mentor will no longer be our music pastor. He will be replaced by Ptra. Pau... something to look forward to right Passion?!

eagle eye + twilight

EAGLE EYE

Starring:Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Michael Chiklis

Synopsis: Eagle Eye is a race-against-time thriller starring Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Mackie and Billy Bob Thornton. Jerry Shaw (LaBeouf) and Rachel Holloman (Monaghan) are two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations – using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move. As the situation escalates, these two ordinary people become the country's most wanted fugitives, who must work together to discover what is really happening – and more importantly, why. --© Dreamworks (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/)

One thing we love doing is watching movies every week. Hubby and I bond together over food and movies EVERY week (sometimes 2 movies a week). Watching Eagle Eye was entertaining, from the visuals to the effects and of course Shia La Beouf *sigh*. I really don't like him in Transformers but I started to have a crush on him while watching the movie yesterday. V said it is similar to Resident Evil so if you haven't watched it sorry for the spoiler. I wasn't feeling well after watching the movie maybe because of all of the camera panning. My stomach was acting up and I got dizzy halfway through the movie. But even that didn't stop me from having my pix taken beside this:

The much anticipated movie of Stephenie Meyer's book! The Twilight saga was written having teens as their target market but it went well for adults too. I remember claiming my Breaking Dawn book (Aug 3 10am) at Trinoma and guess who was right behind me running for her copy?'Twas Lyn Ching!Anyways, going back, I really can't wait to see this movie. I've seen the trailer in youtube.com and the effects are awesome. As always people say the book is better than the movie but I still want to see this. I love Edward Cullen!

in2it makeup base, cg blush, artdeco e/s base, PAC eyebrow kit

Again , a long overdue post about make-ups I bought. I tried using Monistat as my make-up primer but I'm one of those unlucky ones who had pimple and blackhead breakouts so I discontinued using it. In2it has a sheer radiance make-up base that I tried and it worked well for me. It's a water based moisturiser with radiant pearl powder that adds radiance to your face and significantly improves the staying power of make-up. Same as Monistat this also has dimethicone and I haven't had any breakouts with this. It sells for less than P250 at Landmark.

Covergirl has their TRUcheeks blush that has 3 different shades (blush and contouring)."Three blushes in one compact, TruCheeks Blush perfectly matches your skin tone for a natural, no makeup look. It is light weight, blendable and dermatologically tested" - covergirl.com The SA suggested this color for my morena skin tone but I'm not used to not seeing my blush so I tend to apply my Maybelline dream mousse blush on top of it. Hopefully I'll get some tips from the workshop on how to apply this kind of blush.

Jheng inspired me to buy the Artdeco Eyeshadow Base and PAC Eyebrow Kit. I saw the reviews on her site and I'd like to try them out.

Artdeco is a German product and they cater to the make-up artist segment (well that's according to the SA at SM Makati). They have a 10% off until the 25th of October so if you're planning to buy this I suggest you do it now. This eyeshadow base considerably improves the durability, colour intensity and luminescence of powder eyeshadow and makes it waterproof. It has vitamin E and bisabolol. What I liked with this is that it stays on for hours. I apply make-up at 6 am and it stays put for like 12 + hours without retouch. I also tried this with Bless and her make-up lasted longer unlike when I tried the Elianto e/s base with her make-up.

"Strike up your way to the center stage with a fabulous eyebrow form that catch up the attention. A compressed eyebrow kit with applicator to reveal your true Diva star struck eyebrow. Excellent color scheme providing you variable nuances and effect." I gathered that PAC is a French brand manufactured in Indonesia. People think that it's a MAC dupe but it's not. It's a different brand and I've yet to try this one coz I'm still trying to figure out how to apply it. I tried using the brush included but for some reason I'm having a hard time using it. Good thing I'll be able to see Jheng and ask about it. Yehey! make-up workshop today and I can't wait to learn new things. I'll update you soon.

makeup case

Early Birthday Present!

Last Thursday, I went to the mall to buy things I will be needing for my Project Beauty Workshop. I was supposed to buy a mirror and some sponges but this baby just popped out of nowhere!:)

I've been looking for a makeup case for quite a while, even resorting to having it shipped here (even though shipping is way too costly!). Good thing I chanced upon this case. The Face Shop Glorietta has 2 of them. It retails for $64 and it comes with 2 free Black Label e/s. I was hesitant to buy this and would you believe I went inside the boutique 3 times just to look at this hot pink case. Here's the story: I was supposed to buy a mirror for my sat workshop when I saw this precious thing inside the boutique. I looked at it and contemplated if I'd buy it or not. I just convinced myself to buy it at a later time because it's not what I was supposed to buy right? wrong! being the impulse buyer that I am (well not really) I went to SM first to buy the mirror, then I went back to The Face Shop to take some pictures of the case coz I can't take my mind off of it. Me also left my name and contact info. I went back to SM to have my brows groomed, purchase my PAC eyebrow kit AND at the same time waited for V to wake up. Of course I've had to ask permission before I buy this item so having the most adorable hubby in the whole wide world :) he gave his go signal and I went back to the boutique. The SA's were screaming in glee the 3rd time I went back coz I told them before that I had to ask permission first to hubby. So there! I got my makeup case, 2 free Black Label e/s in Space Blue and Marine Blue (which retails at 355 each!) and some sponges. It really made my day ... and my week.

cargo blu ray with eye glitter - eBay haul!

Wow! a full week has passed since I've posted. A lot of things happened and I wasn't able to update this blog. I'm so tired I just want to sleep when I get home... and yeah I've lost weight. Yesterday I was surprised to fit into a pants that has been in my closet for quite some time because I gained weight. My schedule (passion rehearsals for the upcoming concert twice a week) and training (eBay phone support oct 8 launch) is getting into me and my body is acting up a bit. Me body's sore all over and I've been having the sniffles lately.

Speaking of eBay here's a long overdue post about the package I received. Finally my Cargo Blu ray HD makeup has arrived! So far this has been the longest shipment for me. 1 month just to wait for this pressed powder.

" To provide the ultimate flawless base, blu_ray™ Pressed Powder contains photochromatic pigments so that color stays consistent in all types of lighting. The ultra-fine micronized minerals fill-in fine lines while the micronized light diffusers reflect light randomly to camouflage imperfections" - cargocosmetics.com

I've yet to check this out. Remember the post I've had about the 120 palette that arrived here but 2 of the palettes were damaged during shipment? Well chicgallery sent me another package to compensate for the broken ones -- a 10 pc glitter eyeshadow. It's the same as the usual glitters we have in bookstores but I found it more easier to remove than those stubborn ones we use for crafts. Like the cargo blu ray I haven't tested this one either. I'll give an update once I do.*sigh*. So many things to do so little time...
