Italianni's and weekend loot

Yesterday, after the GA we went to Trinoma to meet Ate Claire's "friend". Actually to stalk them coz Ate C doesn't want us to meet him. He's shy daw and everything but we all know that it's only her who is not ready hahaha. Anyways, Rosy, Claire, Vijho and I were with Nanay Nene, Ate's Lowie and Leah and Luanne. We first went inside Landmark to purchase some toiletries and then we met at Mr. Donut with them. While waiting, C was trying to look for a car so we grabbed this to have a photo-op inside this APV . Look at V, parang totoo no?! After this we went and ate some snacks and were supposed to watch Quantum of Solace but there's not enough time coz M (C's date) will be arriving at 6pm. We just went around to look for some training gloves. It was hard to find one coz of my small hands. Most of the ones there are for men so when we went to Nike Women there was one in pink and gray but it was too small and they don't have a medium size, all out of stock. Good thing we went to Adidas and I saw a black and pink one and they have bigger sizes so their small size just fits me well. We also went to Bayo coz I was supposed to buy an off white knitted scarf but it was out of stock so I just bought at 50% off red cardigan. Yeah, I was also trying to look for a Converse Extra High Cut boots but there's one that I don't like the design...Although I saw an Adidas Stella McCartney boots for 8k but I don't think I'll buy that. So...

After hours of searching for my training gloves and waiting for Ate Clara's date we ate at Italianni's! We weren't able to watch a movie so we satisfied our cravings and had Fra Diablo - pasta with shrimp and a lot of herbs and spices and Quattro Staggioni Pizza - a four flavored pizza consisting of pepperoni, classic, pesto and cheese. The refillable dalandan complimented the spicy pasta we had. The service was good and the crew were friendly. Even if they forgot V and Clara's dalandan refill the 2nd time. The first pic was taken by a staff and he asked if there's any occasion to which Rosy replied "meron, broken hearted" while pointing at Ate C. bwahaha. Madaya talaga yung date nya hindi nagpakita.

And now here is my loot: Bayo 50% off red cardigan for Christmas, Adidas training gloves and he/she keychain for V and me!

Day 2 Gym, delayed posts and some more

Day 2 - Neri wasn't able to go to the gym because they had badminton that went into a videoke hahaha. Anyways I was so excited I went there. V was already there coz his shift ends at 12 noon. By the time I was about to start he was about to end so I changed into my clothes and had my warm up on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I took a rest for some 5 to 10 minutes and then went on the treadmill for another 30 minutes. There was this new girl who was lifting dumbbells and I was looking at her. Kuya Jingle told me "Ano gusto mo na magbuhat?". I just smiled and said I'll think about it. A couple of minutes later he again asked me and I said yes. The greatest mistake of my life (j/k). I was asked to do some squats while holding a 12 lbs dumbbell on each arm.15 times 2 reps. And then bench pressed with a 5lbs one I think. 16lbs one was used for my pull-ups. The instructor said women always have problems with their flabby arms so thats the reason I need to work it out real hard. haaah haaah. To top it all, I had to run the treadmill again for another 15 minutes to cool down. That was last Friday and until now I can still feel pain on my arms and legs but it's tolerable and I think I'm starting to like it. V said it will be like that for a couple of days and that's ok. By the way, I'm an ectomorph - The extreme ectomorph physique is a fragile and delicate one. The bones are light, joints are small and muscles are slight. The limbs are relatively long in proportion and the shoulders droop. The ectomorph is a linear physique. Straight up and straight down, and may appear longer than he or she really is, due to the length of limbs coupled with lack of muscle mass developed on those limbs. The ectomorph is not naturally powerful and will have to work hard for every ounce of muscle and every bit of strength he or she can gain - http://www.bodybuildingpro.com/. Oh well no pain, no gain.

A couple of weeks ago my sister-in-law, Ate Tin joined the bridal fair at SM Megamall. We went there to see her designs for Embellish Accessories, her own line. My brother told me I was their model so V and I went there to take a peek nyehehehe. Here's a pix of her designs. She does cords, give-aways, earrings, necklace, headpieces and other stuffs. If you have a design in mind she can also do this for you. So if you have upcoming weddings and you need personalized give-aways or accessories please inform me or see her designs at http://embellish.multiply.com/.

Speaking of my sister-in-law, here's some pix of her lovely daughter. This was taken during my birthday last Oct. 20th. Half of the day I spent it with my uber pretty niece. Dana Beatrice is so adorable - the first apo on both sides and my first niece. I don't get to see her often so I missed a lot of her firsts but then again I always look forward to spending time with her whenever time permits. So on my special day, before going to our crusade hubby and I went to their place to play with her. She loves music and lights and she is playing with V's psp hahaha. A 10 month old playing with Loco Roco, so cute! We are all looking forward to her 1st birthday on December.

water princess goes to the gym

Day 1 - The GYM... yup you've read it right! We've done Hip Hop Abs and running every Sunday at the Grandstand (we only did this for like a month or so bleh). The last time I tried toning my arms was months before our wedding. V has been working out for the past couple of months and I have seen improvements. There was this pants that he can't wear before coz it can't fit his legs, but now he can wear them. His waistline also went down a couple of inches considering he just started last September. So I went out last Thursday with my officemate, Neri and we both tried out D Gym at Marvin Plaza. The monthly fee is only P800 and that's with free consultation and instructor. On our first day, we ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes. There was only V, the two of us and another girl at that time coz it was 2pm (after our shift). Right in front of us were flyers from restaurants. We were laughing coz we were thinking that it would just make us hungry but then Kuya Jingle told us that it was more to motivate us to run. "Yan ang dahilan kung bakit kayo nag-gi-gym ngayon". Hahaha. Imagine, for you to lose the calories on 1/2 can of Coke it would take you 30 minutes on the treadmill! After that another 30 minutes on the stationary bicycle which was a little difficult for me. I'm too short for the bicycle even if the instructor already lowered the seat to it's maximum. After that we were asked to sign some forms and Kuya Jingle told us our program. I need to lose 10 lbs and my target goal is 3 months. Although I only need to get rid of a little weight I have to tone my body, specially my J.lo behind (as Neri calls it). I have a bigger lower body so I need to have it proportioned with my upper body. After a few talks, we again went back to the treadmill for another 30 minutes. It was fun fun fun! 1. because me hubby is there and 2. Neri was so kulit! no dull moment with this gal really. After the gym we went out to eat. I wasn't able to grab lunch prior to that coz my shift ends at 1:30pm so we went to ... guess where? Mcdonald's! hahaha. I ordered 1 piece chicken with Coke float (so much for the workout eh?!). "Last time ko na kakain nito bukas ko na lang ka-career-in" was my dialogue. Let's see what happens tomorrow...

vijho and joma's birthday treat

The birthday treat of our October boys, Vijho and Joma pushed through last Saturday after the service. Together with Ate's Leah, Claire, Rosie and Greg we went to Mr. Kabab to have a late dinner. We ordered the SpecialChelo Kabab and Fruit Shakes. Our topic for the night: Passion! Passion has opened its doors to working people who can sing and dance. Last Monday we had 4 people audition and Pastora Pau told us to still recruit other people who might be interested. Saturday we were told that there were already 3 people who passed. We were hoping Ate Grace (former Passion) would audition because we really need an Alto and one who is not "pasaway" and who always has excuses! Well, Clara and I already discussed that we will not be the ones who will remind potential "ethel boobas" their commitment with Passion. We've experienced a former member with a former singing group who always has excuses. I only have one thing to say: "Nag-singing group ka pa?!". We need people who are commited if they want to join Passion. V and I both are working and go out at 1pm (saturday) but still we continue with our ministry and go straight to HDC rehearsals. Our shift starts at 3am and we sleep at around 4 or 5 pm but we wake up at 6:30pm and attend Passion rehearsals from 7:30pm to 9:00pm then sleep at 10pm just to wake up at 12:30am. Geez spell commitment! hahaha! I know most of us in Passion also has to sacrifice other things like reporting early for work and leaving early just to be in the rehearsals. So for this potential pasaway I don' t think he/she can should have any excuse coz everyone has to make sacrifices. To Ate Clara: "I-partner na lang natin yan kay "it"! hahaha.

Oh yeah, we missed Len, Shari and Pole in this celebration! Baka kasi may mag-react na naman! Sabi nga ni Joma: "Eh di kung hindi kasama sa caption eh di hindi, big deal di ba?". This is the exclusive friends. Friends that you are comfortable with and you open up to a certain degree or level, right Ate Clara?

facial cleansers

So many things to do yet so little time! I haven't even had time to post during moi birthday and hubby's as well. Yup we have the same birth month. I am older by 8 days. We were hoping to have our baby born in October too teehehee. That way we'll save by having all of our major celebrations in just one month! Anyhow,
I bought the Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser and the Nivea Visage Cleansing Milk makeup remover. Okay first with the Neutrogena, I've been using Cetaphil for the longest time (ever since I was in high school) but since I've been putting tons of make-up on my face in the last couple of months I've also been having breakouts. Aaarghh! and so I tried using these 2 to see if they would work with my dry/oily skin. It has only been 4 days but I've noticed that my skin is more radiant than before. The smell also reminds me of babies -- one's who just came out from the shower...hmmm... The Nivea on the other hand also works as a cleanser but I opt to use it as a make-up remover. Partnered with my L'Oreal Lip and Eye make-up remover I think I've found my HG in these 2. Love love love love them!

to my baby...

I can't believe it's been a year since we got married. It seems like it was just yesterday. I still remember everything -- almost everyone being toxic as we count down the few hours of saying our I do's. You were busy arranging the photo gallery with your dad and some of your friends while I was being transformed into a beautiful bride by Jesy. I still vividly remembered ate Grace scolding Ana not to stress me out with the wedding cake. She told her that she'll handle every little glitch that might happen. Cristine was truly the "maid-of-honor"! She made everything possible in her own little way. The bridal bouquet was a disappointment for me coz it was not the exact replica of Claudine's flowers but a lot of people said the color scheme was fabulous. My bridal entourage having their own photo-op while I was out there looking for someone to tug my veil and train! The dark clouds that hovered in the uncovered garden area a few hours before the ceremony started with raindrops falling when I was about to have my bridal march and sing "Two Words". The happiness shared by everyone when we were finally pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Sanchez. The duet we had with the live band that we rehearsed 2 months in advance. The fireworks and the rrriiip... hahaha...Staying up until 2 am just to talk about the wedding, the people who helped, and the guests who are still texting that they have attended the most organized (coz it started really on time and everything was purrfect! thanks to our wedding planner ate Grace) and beautiful wedding they've seen in years. Even during our honeymoon guests are still texting us about our wedding! It was really an effort to pull up, that wedding was our first project as partners in life.
Thanks V for being a wonderful husband and best friend. You have taught me a lot of things and your patience just overwhelms me. I LOVE YOU!

Givenchy Mascara

Yipee! My latest eBay purchase has arrived! Actually this is the fastest shipment I've had. In 10 days the product has arrived. It's the Givenchy Pheonmen'Eyes Mascara.

"This unique mascara perfectly curls and separates with a spherical brush at the tip that coats every lash no matter what your eye shape. Perfect for short, sparse lashes that need extra precision and lash-boosting power." - www.sephora.com

I've found my HG mascara. This is the best one I've tried. It made my lashes really long it seems like I've been wearing false eyelashes. The applicator is a really weird round like brush. I'm not sure if I can use this with other mascara after I've finished my Givenchy one. At first it was sticky when you blink but after a few minutes you would hardly notice it. I was hesitant using this at first coz I've read negative reviews about it but when I tried it for myself 'twas perfectly ok for me. Only downside is that when you try to remove it black lines will stick in your undereyes but I remove it with the L'Oreal Lip and Eye makeup remover.

Another lemming: Plueys! I saw this at swipesomegloss' site and I want want want one! I'd be a good girl I promise. I only want one for my birthday next week puhlese!

JAM!

JAM - JESUS and Me! A Live Music Explosion that was held last Oct 12, 2008. It was a first in the Young Professionals of the Cathedral of Praise. Weeks of rehearsals paid off. The river room was filled with people working in call centers and offices. Pastora Pau led the people in worship together with Passion Team. It was a night filled with singing, dancing and life changing testimonies. Praise God for the people who accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior.

The night was also filled with surprises for Passion Team. Passion is composed of working people using their God given talents in the ministry. I've been with this team for 5 years now and we have been through a lot of changes. In 2005, we were joined by the "kids" - Vera, EG and Jayson. Our younger brother and sisters who are still attending school. Last night, after the crusade we were told that the team will be having auditions for 2 to 3 more slots and that the "kids" will no longer be with us but will be a part of another team. Lots of crying came after the meeting. We will surely miss them specially EG. She is the youngest in the group and also the "makulit" one. Overnights at Ate Joan's place is not fun without this girl coz of her bubbliness. Well she will surely miss us as well. To EG - "kami lang and nagmamahal sayo! LOL. Your Ates will always be here for you no matter what just remember that." Oh yeah and one more surprise. Pastor Manalo our long time mentor will no longer be our music pastor. He will be replaced by Ptra. Pau... something to look forward to right Passion?!

eagle eye + twilight

EAGLE EYE

Starring:Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Michael Chiklis

Synopsis: Eagle Eye is a race-against-time thriller starring Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Mackie and Billy Bob Thornton. Jerry Shaw (LaBeouf) and Rachel Holloman (Monaghan) are two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations – using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move. As the situation escalates, these two ordinary people become the country's most wanted fugitives, who must work together to discover what is really happening – and more importantly, why. --© Dreamworks (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/)

One thing we love doing is watching movies every week. Hubby and I bond together over food and movies EVERY week (sometimes 2 movies a week). Watching Eagle Eye was entertaining, from the visuals to the effects and of course Shia La Beouf *sigh*. I really don't like him in Transformers but I started to have a crush on him while watching the movie yesterday. V said it is similar to Resident Evil so if you haven't watched it sorry for the spoiler. I wasn't feeling well after watching the movie maybe because of all of the camera panning. My stomach was acting up and I got dizzy halfway through the movie. But even that didn't stop me from having my pix taken beside this:

The much anticipated movie of Stephenie Meyer's book! The Twilight saga was written having teens as their target market but it went well for adults too. I remember claiming my Breaking Dawn book (Aug 3 10am) at Trinoma and guess who was right behind me running for her copy?'Twas Lyn Ching!Anyways, going back, I really can't wait to see this movie. I've seen the trailer in youtube.com and the effects are awesome. As always people say the book is better than the movie but I still want to see this. I love Edward Cullen!

in2it makeup base, cg blush, artdeco e/s base, PAC eyebrow kit

Again , a long overdue post about make-ups I bought. I tried using Monistat as my make-up primer but I'm one of those unlucky ones who had pimple and blackhead breakouts so I discontinued using it. In2it has a sheer radiance make-up base that I tried and it worked well for me. It's a water based moisturiser with radiant pearl powder that adds radiance to your face and significantly improves the staying power of make-up. Same as Monistat this also has dimethicone and I haven't had any breakouts with this. It sells for less than P250 at Landmark.

Covergirl has their TRUcheeks blush that has 3 different shades (blush and contouring)."Three blushes in one compact, TruCheeks Blush perfectly matches your skin tone for a natural, no makeup look. It is light weight, blendable and dermatologically tested" - covergirl.com The SA suggested this color for my morena skin tone but I'm not used to not seeing my blush so I tend to apply my Maybelline dream mousse blush on top of it. Hopefully I'll get some tips from the workshop on how to apply this kind of blush.

Jheng inspired me to buy the Artdeco Eyeshadow Base and PAC Eyebrow Kit. I saw the reviews on her site and I'd like to try them out.

Artdeco is a German product and they cater to the make-up artist segment (well that's according to the SA at SM Makati). They have a 10% off until the 25th of October so if you're planning to buy this I suggest you do it now. This eyeshadow base considerably improves the durability, colour intensity and luminescence of powder eyeshadow and makes it waterproof. It has vitamin E and bisabolol. What I liked with this is that it stays on for hours. I apply make-up at 6 am and it stays put for like 12 + hours without retouch. I also tried this with Bless and her make-up lasted longer unlike when I tried the Elianto e/s base with her make-up.

"Strike up your way to the center stage with a fabulous eyebrow form that catch up the attention. A compressed eyebrow kit with applicator to reveal your true Diva star struck eyebrow. Excellent color scheme providing you variable nuances and effect." I gathered that PAC is a French brand manufactured in Indonesia. People think that it's a MAC dupe but it's not. It's a different brand and I've yet to try this one coz I'm still trying to figure out how to apply it. I tried using the brush included but for some reason I'm having a hard time using it. Good thing I'll be able to see Jheng and ask about it. Yehey! make-up workshop today and I can't wait to learn new things. I'll update you soon.

makeup case

Early Birthday Present!

Last Thursday, I went to the mall to buy things I will be needing for my Project Beauty Workshop. I was supposed to buy a mirror and some sponges but this baby just popped out of nowhere!:)

I've been looking for a makeup case for quite a while, even resorting to having it shipped here (even though shipping is way too costly!). Good thing I chanced upon this case. The Face Shop Glorietta has 2 of them. It retails for $64 and it comes with 2 free Black Label e/s. I was hesitant to buy this and would you believe I went inside the boutique 3 times just to look at this hot pink case. Here's the story: I was supposed to buy a mirror for my sat workshop when I saw this precious thing inside the boutique. I looked at it and contemplated if I'd buy it or not. I just convinced myself to buy it at a later time because it's not what I was supposed to buy right? wrong! being the impulse buyer that I am (well not really) I went to SM first to buy the mirror, then I went back to The Face Shop to take some pictures of the case coz I can't take my mind off of it. Me also left my name and contact info. I went back to SM to have my brows groomed, purchase my PAC eyebrow kit AND at the same time waited for V to wake up. Of course I've had to ask permission before I buy this item so having the most adorable hubby in the whole wide world :) he gave his go signal and I went back to the boutique. The SA's were screaming in glee the 3rd time I went back coz I told them before that I had to ask permission first to hubby. So there! I got my makeup case, 2 free Black Label e/s in Space Blue and Marine Blue (which retails at 355 each!) and some sponges. It really made my day ... and my week.

cargo blu ray with eye glitter - eBay haul!

Wow! a full week has passed since I've posted. A lot of things happened and I wasn't able to update this blog. I'm so tired I just want to sleep when I get home... and yeah I've lost weight. Yesterday I was surprised to fit into a pants that has been in my closet for quite some time because I gained weight. My schedule (passion rehearsals for the upcoming concert twice a week) and training (eBay phone support oct 8 launch) is getting into me and my body is acting up a bit. Me body's sore all over and I've been having the sniffles lately.

Speaking of eBay here's a long overdue post about the package I received. Finally my Cargo Blu ray HD makeup has arrived! So far this has been the longest shipment for me. 1 month just to wait for this pressed powder.

" To provide the ultimate flawless base, blu_ray™ Pressed Powder contains photochromatic pigments so that color stays consistent in all types of lighting. The ultra-fine micronized minerals fill-in fine lines while the micronized light diffusers reflect light randomly to camouflage imperfections" - cargocosmetics.com

I've yet to check this out. Remember the post I've had about the 120 palette that arrived here but 2 of the palettes were damaged during shipment? Well chicgallery sent me another package to compensate for the broken ones -- a 10 pc glitter eyeshadow. It's the same as the usual glitters we have in bookstores but I found it more easier to remove than those stubborn ones we use for crafts. Like the cargo blu ray I haven't tested this one either. I'll give an update once I do.*sigh*. So many things to do so little time...

Nyx Ultra Pearl Mania - eBay haul and cooking carbonara

At last! another eBay haul has arrived. I've had V pick this up after work at QCPO. I still use my mom's address to have things shipped. Hubby was still on his way home when I texted him and asked him to tell me the name of the shipper. For some reason it was not the name of the seller I dealt with. I asked V to open it he said 5ml Nyx eyeshadows 24 pcs! yipee. I felt so giddy and excited. Here it is:

Bottom: Nude Pearl, Pearl, White Pearl, Silver Pearl, Charcoal Pearl, Black Pearl, Fanta Pearl,
Baby Blue Pearl, Lime Pearl, Ocean Blue Pearl, Baby Pink Pearl, Purple Pearl,
Sky Pink Pearl
Top: Turquoise Pearl, Lilac Pearl, Space Pearl, Yellow Gold Pearl, Orange Pearl,
Mink Pearl, Mocha Pearl, Oro Pearl, Rust Pearl, Walnut Pearl, Penny Pearl

I love the colors! It's so vibrant and glittery. It's also a steal for only 9.99 (24 pcs). The seller has lotsa stock of these and I've been bidding and being outbid a couple of times. Until one time I saw a Lot of 24 that is ending soon and noone has bidded yet. I grabbed that opportunity and tada! I have it now. Shipping is 14.95 but I won't grumble over that one coz she shipped it fast(coming from CA). I like paid for this on Sept 3 and the notice from the QCPO was dated for Sept 10. I paid $25 for the item and shipping. A piece of this is $1.25 and that's already on sale! (without S&H) so definitely this is cheap. I'm so in love with them now!

And because hubby wasn't able to go to the gym just because he picked my package (aww sweet!) I made carbonara for our dinner. It's my first time and I got my recipe from Mommy Anna (thanks po!). Actually I thought of postponing this carbonara thingie coz we ate at Mcdonald's with the Bektas (Bear Clan). Had late merienda with Joey, Ails, Charot, Junjun, Dustin and Queen B. Good thing Junjun was with me so we dropped by A. Venue to check out the place and went to Puregold to buy the ingredients. When I got home at 8 pm and saw the package I was so inspired to cook so I made the pasta for hubby. We'll set aside our diets first. Happy eating!

fs kabuki brush and mmu storage

I need to transfer my mmu samples. Good thing we went to Trinoma and I was able to buy some stuff for them. I was trying to find a kabuki brush for easier application and the only one I found was this Fanny Serrano Kabuki Brush (P950 for this baby) Yeah I still remember the look on the cashier's face and saying "What's this? 950 for a small thing". Well this baby is essential for the use of your mmu. It evenly distributes them. Made of pony hair its brush is really soft. It also comes with a magnetic case and is travel friendly.

And of course my loot won't be complete without the jars and labels...

Me really happy!

bonding time with friends

moments with V... ( road testing my joppa mineral makeup)

After the Leader's GA (general assembly) hubby and I went to Mcdonald's to have our late lunch. Me was goofing around while waiting for Rosie and Clara. We went to Trinoma afterwards to watch a movie and basically just bond with the girls and hubby (aww we miss Len!) . We did nothing but eat and eat and eat. What more great way to bond than to eat (again) at our favorite place Mr Kabab. Here are some pix of the great and affordable food they have. Although you'd really have to wait for your turn because of the number of people craving for their Special Chelo Kabab it's still worth it.
